Gold Edge Trinket Pinch Pot

Handcrafted stoneware pinch pot with 22 carat gold edge. Option to add a gold design into the centre of the pot; choose from gold leaf, sun or moon. 

How is it made?

Each pot starts off life as a ball of clay, the pot is then carefully pinched into shape. After bisque firing the pots are dipped into a clear glaze and fired again. After glaze firing the pieces are hand-painted with 22 carat gold lustre and fired for a third time at a low temperature; this fuses the lustre detail to the glaze. 

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

This item is made to order so the piece will take 3-4 weeks to be made from scratch. However I keep a small selection of stock ready to post within 3 days of your order, so if you need your item sooner message me and I will let you know if I have it in stock.

Sustainability

Sustainability is important to me and while very few products and processes of making can be viewed as fully sustainable, few materials around are as durable and eco-friendly as ceramics. If well cared for my pieces can last you a lifetime. Heat in our kilns is well managed and distributed and due to working in a shared studio space our kilns are always fully loaded; making the most of each firing. I do not use toxic materials and all of my glazes are lead free. I also produce very little waste and reclaim all clay off cuts. My packaging is either plastic free or reused materials.

Important information 

This pot is technically dishwasher safe however I would suggest washing by hand to prevent any damage. 

Due to gold details this piece is not microwave safe.
